Breaking down the cost of a funeral plan

So, you’re considering taking out a prepaid funeral plan and naturally, you’re wondering exactly what you can get for the amount of money you want to spend.

It’s true that there’s no one-size-fits all solution when it comes to funeral plans. People want different things and have different budgets, which is why here at Prosperous Life we have funeral plan options to choose from, ensuring that everyone’s needs are covered.

One thing that remains the same amongst all of our funeral plans is that they all guarantee to cover the cost of your funeral director’s fees. This means that you don’t need to worry about paying any extra for your chosen director to arrange and conduct the funeral when the time comes.

So, why are some funeral plans more expensive than others?

Our funeral plans have been created to allow customers to pick a plan that not only suits their wishes, but also their budget.

Funeral plans are priced based on the features they include. It’s important to make sure that you’re completely clued up on your options before taking out a plan, as they vary between providers. You’ll find that some funeral plan providers offer very basic plans which don’t actually include a funeral service at all, and instead solely cover the cost of a cremation or burial.

Here at Prosperous Life, our funeral plans are categorised into Silver, Gold and Platinum. We don’t offer ‘simple’ or ‘basic’ plans as it’s our mission to provide customers with everything they want and need in a funeral plan, whilst still making them affordable and accessible.

Our Silver Plan is our most affordable option, yet it still covers all of the essentials – from the funeral director’s professional services to a coffin, transportation and contributions towards third party costs.

Our Gold and Platinum plans build on top of what’s already offered in the Silver Plan, but with added extras such as following limousines. Of course, customising your plans with these additional features is where the further costs are incurred.

Is it worth adding extras to your funeral plan?

Whether you choose a standard or more premium funeral plan package is entirely dependent on your preferences, your plan should be based around your wishes and needs.

For example, our Platinum package is perfectly suited to larger families, with two following limousines to accommodate all family members wishing to travel as part of the procession. Whereas, for those with smaller families, the Gold plan may be the better option.

We’ve found that our Gold plan is the most popular amongst our customers. It goes that little bit further to ensure that your final celebrations are truly special whilst still at an affordable price, offering a perfect middle ground between Silver and Platinum. Again, it all boils down to what you want from your funeral plan.

Will I save money by taking out a prepaid funeral plan?

Taking out a prepaid funeral plan protects you against the rising cost of funerals in the future. Our plans are fixed at today’s prices, so you won’t pay any more than that even if the price of funerals continues to soar over the coming years.

Not only that, but by leaving all of the arrangements in the hands of a professional, you can rest assured that everything is covered and nothing has been missed out – which can save a lot of time and money in the long run!

Here at Prosperous Life, all of our funeral plan packages are competitively priced, and our Price Match Guarantee promises that you won’t find better value elsewhere.
