5 restaurants you should look at booking right now

With lockdown easing and restaurants getting ready to open their doors and welcome people back inside their establishments, we look at some of the best restaurants in the UK that you should book which will give you a culinary experience to remember.

The Compasses Inn, Kent

This beautiful and cosy country pub is set in the middle of nowhere, but The Taylors who run it, have done a tremendous job, so people travel from miles around to taste the dishes. For a ‘pub’ these dishes are rather amazing, stout glazed ox cheek with oysters, pan fried hake with cuttlefish and venison vindaloo is some of the delights on the menu. This pub is perfection.

Cail Bruich, Glasgow

Chef Lorna McNee has transformed this restaurant when she joined and continues to deliver impressive dishes from her open plan kitchen. The menu comprises of locally sourced Scottish ingredients to create dishes such as highland roe deer with braised chicory and roast onion for you to enjoy. The restaurants interior is also worth a mention, featuring plant filled walls and a bright colour scheme that brings some fun the experience.

Sonny Stores, Bristol

This lovely small restaurant is an alluring deli/restaurant with a wide ranging and ever changing menu. There is a mix of roman style pizzas and laden sandwiches which make a great staple. But they also have some more adventurous dishes such as veal sweetbreads with prosecco roasted onions. A great find.
